Start Bright Academy Tuition Assistance Program (SBATAP)

Objective: The Start Bright Academy Tuition Assistance Program (SBATAP) aims to provide financial assistance to disadvantaged families residing in the West side of Atlanta, Dallas, and Hiram, seeking childcare services at Start Bright Academy. Our goal is to ensure that every child has access to quality early childhood education, regardless of their economic situation. 

 Eligibility: 

  1. Child must be enrolled at Start Bright Academy aged 6 weeks – 12 years of age. 
  2. Residents of the West side of Atlanta, Dallas, and Hiram.
  3. Families who fall below a certain income threshold as defined by the State’s Financial Aid guidelines AND have been disqualified by the Childcare and Parent Services program (CAPS)

Program Details: 

  1. Tiered Assistance: The SBATAP will offer tiered financial assistance based on household income. The lower the income, the higher the percentage of tuition covered.
  2. Application Process: Interested families must submit a completed application form along with proof of income, residency, CAPS denial letter and other necessary documents. The application period will be open twice a year, for the spring January 1-15th and fall semesters July 1-15th. Two slots per classroom will be awarded in addition to three afterschool slots to cover the spring and fall admissions.
  3. Review Process: Applications will be reviewed by a committee that will determine the level of assistance to be provided to each family.

Benefits: 

  1. Financial assistance to cover a portion of the tuition fees at Start Bright Academy.
  2. Access to a high-quality early childhood education program with a focus on S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math).
  3. Access to additional support services, such as nutritional meals snacks, and after-school care. Please Note: This does not include diapers, pull ups or formula. These items must still be purchased and provided by the parent or guardian unless otherwise approved by committee.
